Athletes, judges, officials, extra officials, and attendant volunteers of The World Games 2009 will have free access to transportation service, including shuttle bus, fixed route, and mobile pickup services. Shuttle buses will service between venues, catering centers, hotels, practice fields, and The World Games Plaza. Fixed routes will cover the airport, the Opening and Closing ceremonies, Athlete's Night, the Accreditation Center, and workers' pick up stands. Mobile pickup will be reserved for the doping center and special services.

Airport Pick up and Transfer

Free transportation service is available from the moment you arrive at Kaohsiung City. KOC will not be responsible for any transportation service outside of Kaohsiung City. Therefore, it is strongly recommended that the athletes take a direct flight to the Kaohsiung International Airport. An Information Center will be set up near Terminal 1 of the Kaohsiung International Airport, with on site volunteers providing assistance.
There will be free shuttle bus service from the Kaohsiung International Airport to the Accreditation Center.
From Taoyuan International Airport To Kaohsiung
Those who arrive at the Taoyuan International Airport (Taipei/TPE) will need to take the Taiwan High Speed Rail (HSR) from the Taoyuan HSR Station to the Kaohsiung Zuoying HSR Station.
High Speed Rail Fare Discounts
An invitation letter will be offering 35% off for the participating athletes and VIPs during The World Games 2009 period.
- Taoyuan Airport - Arrival: Obtain a discount voucher from the KOC service counter at the Taoyuan International Airport by presenting your invitation letter.
- Kaohsiung - Departure: Obtain a discount voucher from the KOC service counter at the Zuoying High Speed Railway Station by presenting your invitation letter.
- Purchase procedure: A volunteer from KOC service counter will assist with purchase of ticket after the discount voucher has been granted.
Taoyuan International Airport (U Bus /NTD$30/person) Taoyuan High Speed Rail (HSR) Station (98min/NTD$1330/person) Kaohsiung Zuoying HSR Station (free shuttle bus) Accreditation Center
U Bus is the bus service transferring passengers from the Taoyuan International Airport to the Taoyuan HSR Station. It takes approximately 98 minutes to travel from Taoyuan to Kaohsiung via the High Speed Rail. Free shuttle bus service will be provided from the Kaohsiung Zuoying HSR Station to the Accreditation Center.
